Collaborator tasks in widget

Is there a way to add a widget to the home page that shows tasks on which I am a collaborator, rather than (or in addition to) just those assigned to me?

No but you can use a Saved (Starred) Advance Search Report for that.

Can you tell me more about how to do that? What is an Advance Search Report? Where is that created?

Advanced Search is a feature offered in any of Asana’s paid plans but not the free one. Here’s a video showing how to do the search and save it:
