Can't Upload files from Android

I used to have no issue uploading files and photos to a task or calendar item. Now it’s telling me "this feature requires “read/write external files permission. to use it, please grant this permission.” What does that mean? I have poked around but I can’t solve this problem myself.

Hi @Adrianne_Chivers, and apologies for the delay in responding to you!

Sounds like you need to enable these permissions within your Android settings; you should be able to do so following the steps:

For apps installed on your device:

  1. On your device, open the main Settings app Settings.
  2. Tap Apps or Application Manager (depending on your device, this may look different).
  3. Tap the app you want to update.
  4. Tap Permissions .
  5. Next to a permission you want to turn on, move the switch to the right until it turns green. If you want to turn a permission off, move the switch to the left until it turns gray.

Let me know if that helps, happy Friday!

On android → settings → apps → asana → permissions → photos and videos I have selected “Always allow all”, however still not able to upload photos and get error “This feature requires “Read Media” permissions. To use it, please grant thi…”. The rest of the message is cutoff and I can’t open it to see more.

One of my team members is having the same issue. Is there a resolution for this?

We are having the same issue - but also tasks that have been commented on or been unticked are showing on their devise with the comment and unticked - but this is not pulling through on teh web app. This is really bad for reliability of information - please can we have an update asap @Maria_Lu
