When editing tasks it’s really efficient to select a bunch of tasks and apply a specific change, like changing a custom field.
It would be great if this would also work for projects and portfolios in a portfolio.

Agree! With the new Portfolios layout, this makes total sense - hopefully something coming soon ![]()
Also hoping that the same would apply to portfolios within portfolios.
Yeah that makes total sense. Edited. Don’t forget to vote. ![]()
+1
Was scratching my head as I knew I could do batch updating of tasks but couldn’t figure out how to do batch updating with Projects. Right now I’m going through over a hundred projects trying to update about 10 different fields on each for our new standard and it is annoying. ![]()
wondering if there’s any news on this! updating projects 1:1 is very sluggish. off the top of my head, would make sense to be able to select multiple projects and…
Also, can this also be enabled for searches as well. So I can search for all projects by a certain aspect and add them to a portfolio, or mass update them by different aspects.
A colleague of mine:
is there a way in which projects can be selected as a group in a portfolio? i’d like to do a mass-move of hundreds of projects from one portfolio to another
Are there any updates on this availability. I need to move more than 25 projects to another portfolio and move hate to have to do it one by one.
Following up on this as well - this seems like low-hanging fruit to make A LOT of folks’ lives easier. The work updating portfolio functionality has been great and this would be a game changer!
This would also be great when wanting to archive multiple projects at once!
This would have been really handy to have 329 (and counting) projects ago…
Is there an update on this? Is this in the dev queue?
This seems like a VERY basic and straight-forward request…
I have dozens of projects in each Portfolio, so if I can edit one column/field for a bunch at the same time, it will absolutely save me time.
I’m reminded of missing this today. Not because I need to use it now, but because I am about to add a whole bunch of portfolios to other portfolios.
Knowing that I won’t be able to multiselect I have been postponing this a long time, fearing I might later regret not including certain custom fields and having to update hundreds of portfolios manually, one at a time.
I’m facing the same frustrating issue today… I need to add projects from 25 portfolios into one centralized portfolio. It’s a few hundred projects, and I definitely don’t want to do that one by one ![]()
We use portfolios to manage projects per client with an automation to add to a specific portfolios via the project template. Since we have a lot of projects that are created and automatically added to a portfolio, it’d be great if there was a way to select multiple projects and remove it from the portfolio if the project is no longer active.
I see it’s marked considered, which is promising!
Adding a +1 here! I manage hundreds of projects per season for a global brand and we use portfolios for grouping and oversight by function leads.
This is an essential step that would save SO much time.
Right now I am doing all my planning by making task placeholders for all my projects, adding in all their information and then running automations to export them to projects and add to specific portfolios. would save SO much time to just create as projects vs tasks.
