I don’t think this is necessarily a critical bug (although I suppose it could be if it interrupts ID sequence at all but I haven’t tested it).
One of my designers accidentally pasted an image from their clipboard into a custom ID field (which technically is permanent and should not be editable) and sadly, it cannot be deleted (but oddly enough, it can be resized ) Hilarious screenshot below:
