I just want to flag that the recent change to the message field regarding hiding “Attach files” menu is very user UNFRIENDLY. The Attach files menu should be right at the top or the bottom on the very message field, not being hidden.

LOL - I just noticed when I clicked Reply, here in the forum, this box appeared with icons for wysiwyg - including an upload icon. But alas, no icon in the Comment box in an Asana task anymore. No thanks - I need it in the comment box.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, that’s the problem I’m identifying. Asana removed the paperclip icon at the top, which was the logical place for it since attaching files is one of the most frequent things people do in Asana. Now it is buried far down in the task body, so requires one to do a lot of scrolling plus several clicks every time one wants to attach a file—something I do numerous times a day across many tasks.

I upload a lot of files each day and need to write details about them in the same comment. That being said, I only use the comment box to upload files. The paperclip icon (attach files) in the comment box was great before the update. Now, there’s two extra steps to upload a file in the comment box. Get rid of the “Appreciations” icon and put the paperclip back to the way it was. I’ve been using asana for 6 years, and this is my first time posting to this forum…that’s how strongly I feel about this.

You are completely right, this is ridiculous. The “appreciation” icon, which nobody ever uses, is there for immediate access, but the “attach files” option has been hidden in a submenu? I can’t even believe a person would knowingly make this change.
I have never posted here either, this is that absurd.

Previously, there was a button to attach files to a comment. I do this many times a day. The interface changed, and now I have to navigate through a menu to attach files, creating extra clicks. I wish they would put the button back where it was!

I agree this adds more clicks and detrimental to discoverability within the comments box. Missing it, threw me off during a training session where I had to scramble to find it!

Yes, this is annoying, please bring back the paperclip in the comments and at the top of tasks!
