Best way to organize/view Archived tasks?

I’m trying to figure out the best way to organize my tasks and projects, and I’d like to archive tasks that have been completed and older than 1 week. (I don’t think there’s a way to automate that; I’m fine doing that manually.) However, I’d like to be able to view all my completed tasks/projects, especially every quarter and at the end of the year. This includes tasks that aren’t assigned a project. But I also only want to see a set date range (e.g., not archived tasks/projects older than 1 year old). What’s the best way to do this?

Also, I just realized that tasks cannot be archived, only projects. Any suggestions on how to handle completed tasks for ongoing projects that are continual without a deadline? Both in terms of cleaning up the project itself, but also in terms of a viewable archive.

@Nick_Harper,

In most projects, I recommend setting and saving this filter:

That will keep completed work hidden (aka “archived” in my book) but you can see only Completed, or Incomplete and Completed tasks together by changing the filter temporarily when needed.

For your other question, I recommend clicking the Search box and choose Advanced Search and then star the results to save as a search report for subsequent use quarterly or whenever.

Thanks,

Larry
