I wanted to use task templates to streamline our Content Calendar in board view. I thought if I would attach an image / file to as task tempplate that this image / file would be attached when choosing the task template from the top of a board column. Unfortunately, everthing gets copied - except for added attachments / files. I think it would be useful that attached files to a task template would be incuded when choosing that particular task template.
I hope Asana and users will see this as a nice improvement also!
Hi all, I have created a task template which contains multiple preset subtasks. When a new task is created out of that template, the subtasks remain but the attachments are no longer in the subtasks.
I have attached the files when the task is a task, i.e. before converting it to template, however with no success. Any tips on this one?
Hi @Jonas_Gross, welcome to the Asana Community Forum
At this time, attachments are not copied over when using a task template. We do have an existing request for this feature in the #productfeedback category so I’ve gone ahead and merged your post with this to consolidate feedback.
Hopefully this is something our Product team can implement in the future to improve task templates!
Hi everyone! I’m happy to announce that is now possible to add attachments to Task Templates, see image below
