Automatic Status Update Reminder when task converted to project - Turn it off by default?

Hello,

I noticed that whenever I convert a task into a project, the toggle for “remind me to post status update on Friday” is automatically toggled on. For a workflow that is generating all projects from tasks (from a submission), this is quite annoying when we don’t need status updates on those projects

Is there any way to change this default behavior? I know I can go in after the fact and toggle it off, but it’s not ideal due to the volume of work to do this every time.

Asking in case there’s something I don’t know, otherwise I’ll add to Product Feedback.

Hey @KelseaLopez

I do not beleive there is a way to have the status update switched off by default.

@KelseaLopez After finding a workaround for setting the work schedule in a template I’m curious what’d happen if you try the following:

  1. Turn off the status-update reminder for a blank project
  2. Save it as a template
  3. Use that template when converting tasks into projects

@KelseaLopez someone who’s now silenced marked my reply as solution, so I’ve unmarked it.

Can you circle back to let me know whether it worked or not?

Actually YES that did the trick!!! Thank you!!

I already created ALL the templates BUMMER, but at least now I know how to avoid it in the future  Thanks!
