Hi All, Hope everyone is very well. Is this post still on the product roadmap back-burner?. I’m newly introducing Asana into my business, and this is a fundamental piece that is missing and sticks-out like a sore thumb when I’m trying to report to senior stakeholders on a projects (all projects wrapped into one portfolio) timelines/forecasted completion. I have to manually update the due date field in “Project Details”, as that field doesn’t pick up the first start and last end dates from the tasks within the project automitically. Please tell me there has been a workaround (not flowsana) or a fix that I’ve been unable to find in a search ?
Hello,
Sorry if this has already been taken care of, but is there a way (custom field or like) to get a Duration setting like we use in Microsoft Project? For most of my projects I don’t know start and end dates, yet LOE is easy. It’s a huge pain in the butt to figure this out elsewhere and add it in.
Is there a way to set the start date, add tasks with durations, and have the end date expand? Essentially I need MProject functionality here.
Thank you so much!
CJ
Hello,
Has this been actioned already?
Is it in the current RoadMap?
Thank you
Being able to see the earliest start date (Project start) and the latest finish date (Project finish) are so fundamental to project management that I am both surprised and disappointed that this functionality doesn’t exist today. Voting to get this prioritized on the development roadmap.
Hi all ![]()
I appreciate that manually updating the project’s due dates in a portfolio can be time consuming.
That is why I have developed a custom app with my team of developers which can run on a schedule, e.g. once a day or whatever frequency you like. The code will go through each project, find the earliest and latest task within each project and update the project’s start and end dates accordingly. I have already added this for numerous clients of mine, saving them tons of time each week.
