I’m using Google Sheets to upload tasks - GREAT! but the Assignee field is blank. I’m entering email addresses copied from Asana. Any thoughts? Even the custom fields are coming through beautifully. TIA.
Are you sure the column in the CSV is titled “Assignee”?
I recommend you make a two-line CSV (one header row and one data row) and a test project and repeatedly import there until it works. Never click the “Go to project” button but instead always click the “Make changes” buttons to be sure your mapping is done correctly.

I did discover the problem was that the column in Sheets was not formatted for an email address. when I made that change, it worked. Thanks for your input Larry!
