Asana to Outlook calendar stopped syncing

Hello!

Many departments within my company have been using one specific Asana events calendar to stay up to date on major project dates. We have been utilizing the Asana-to-Outlook syncing capability for years, which has been helpful and effective in sharing this events calendar with the greater staff. However, recently, the Outlook calendar has stopped updating as we make changes to dates and content in the original Asana calendar.

Many of these departments rely on getting this information solely on through their Outlook calendars. We have found that manually unsubscribing an individual account from the Asana calendar (in Outlook) and then re-syncing the two calendars has fixed the problem. However, there are upward of 100 employees that use this calendar through Outlook. Asking each individual to do this process on their own is not ideal. We also do not have the staff or time to do this step for each of the necessary individuals.

Any alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi there!
It sounds frustrating that your Asana-to-Outlook sync isn’t updating. Try clearing offline items in Outlook, re-adding the Asana calendar, or using a script to automate the re-sync process for all users. These steps should help get your calendars updating correctly again

Hi @MeredithE ,

Welcome to the forum!

What I’ve found is that setting up syncing through outlook Web is more reliable than Outlook Desktop.

Hello @MeredithE ,

you can use third party automation app and update the calendar through automation. If you want to invest in third party app. just try to Check if the integration settings in Asana and Outlook have changed or need reconfiguration. Sometimes, removing and reconnecting the calendar integration can solve syncing issues.

You can Use Asana’s Native Calendar Export by consider exporting the Asana calendar and then importing it into Outlook:
