Asana plugin for Gmail - Ability to add email to existing task and allow email sync in Asana

I often need to add emails to existing tasks in Asana. As I work primarily out of Asana, that linked email for the task I am working on does not show and I need to search my emails to follow up. I see this has been requested many times before and wondering if it can be revisited?
