Asana Form Submission email confirmation

One of the things we’d like to utilize forms for is for our spokespeople to let our communications department know when they’ve spoken with the media. They need to complete the form and then also need to forward the information to their supervisors. If there were an email confirmation of their submission it would streamline everything for them. Note, these are non-Asana users. We’re considering working with a competitor on this because we need that functionality but we’d really like to incorporate it into our normal Asana workflow to reduce the need for multiple systems.

@Natalia @Marie - I just filled out an Asana form for Early Access feature and got a confirmation email of my submission. Does that mean you all are testing this? (pls say yes) :wink:

is there something you have to set up within the form for the email reply? i just tested this on my current form and did not get a receipt. thanks.

We are DESPERATE for this feature!!! Please @Marie tell me how I can get access to this feature pretty pretty please, we have come to Asana for help with our project management workflow and we absolutely need this feature. There are so many things Asana is lacking that require other softwares its absolutely ridiculous, regardless our vote is in for Asana whether we like it or not (lol), so PLEASE give us the feature please please please, we desperately need it the most in the new creative requests project form in our CR: SENSE STUDIO OPS team. Thank you!!!

This would be so helpful. Members of our staff who haven’t adopted Asana yet are keen to use this form but would like a confirmation they’ve submitted their request. It’s an added step for those of us using the form to have to email staff to let them know it’s been recieved.

This would make the difference for me and my team. Currently looking at ways to improve efficiency when dealing with daily tasks that arrive in our inbox. Switched to Asana but still have to email person submitting via alternative method i.e. Outlook.

@Marie When is this feature expected to be released? The lack of this feature is a HUGE issue in our organization. Thanks!

This feature has been delayed a little bit, but I’m hoping to have some good news within a couple of weeks; I’ll update this thread as soon as I do!

I’m receiving emails from Asana when entering forms as a confirmation that I submitted a form and what the content of the form was. Is there a way to activate this feature on other accounts? This would be very helpful.

Hi @Paul_Grobler! Our team is working on this new feature but it hasn’t been fully launched yet. We will post updates soon! I’ll make sure to keep this thread updated as soon as I have more information.

I’m excited to announce our Product Team is rolling out an update that will allow you to receive an email confirmation after submitting a form :tada: All you need to do on your end is have an “Email address” field set to required in your form, and Asana will automatically send a confirmation email on your behalf. This option will be available for everyone very soon!
