New to asana but I am comfortable setting up task creating projects and portfolio’s but I always seem to run into a small issue that delays my whole flow. I created a form to enter new jobs, I want that to stay in that project as a task, I also need to move it to another project to track my jobs or tasks and when they are mailing. Its a current template my company uses and I want to replace all with asana. I then want to change the task to a project using a template with all tasks for that job. So i want in my job book as a task, my mailing chart as a task and then I want to have it turned into a project and add to a portfolio. I basically can do all of this but I don’t want any of my task changing to the converted lightened task, that currently happens. I know this is all basic stuff but can someone tell me the best way to go about
Hi @Danielle_Santone , I think the only workaround here would be to simply mark imcomplete the task that was converted into a project, and possibly rename it, which you could possibly do using a rule.
It seems you are leveraging the features correctly for your entire workflow so I wouldn’t sacrifice any of that in lieu of not converting a task to a project and having to simply unmark it complete.
