Hi guys i need help creating a rule.
What i need?
I need to be able to create a task on asana with the email from gmail, and i want it to be moved to a specific section called “ communication”.
First check:
- I have the integration between asana and googleworkspace and it is working just fine, the task is being created, and the email is syncing
- The rule is running(not doing exactly what i want, but running)
What i have written on the rule:
WHEN: Task is created
CHECK IF: The task was created using the Google Workspace add-on app(AI condition)
DO THIS: Move the task to the section “Communication”
GUIDANCE FOR AI: The task was created using the Google Workspace add-on app
What is the outcome:
The task is being created, the rule is being triggered, and the task is moving to the section.
Issue:
It is doing it every single time. Other new tasks that are not created by Gmail are also being moved to the “ communication” section. I tried to create some “otherwise”, but i’m stuck with this message:
Thoughts: “The user-provided guidance explicitly states ‘The task was created using the Google Workspace add-on app.’ There is no information in the task data or my knowledge that contradicts this statement. Therefore the condition is true.”
