Approvals and Milestones

Hi all.

I have a question about rules. For example, I have a QA task card that made into an approval. When the card is marked approved. I would like to set up a rule or rules to:
rule 1: create a new task card as a milestone under this section
rule 2: mark this milestone task card as completed

Is this possible or should I be looking at setting up my tasks a different way? I would love to collaborate on this if possible. Thanks.

Hi,

This is kinda hard because:

  • a rule can create a task but not a milestone
  • a rule can create a task but not a completed task

So you would have:

  • use a 2nd rule with my custom action in “Extern actions” called “Mark task as milestone”
  • use a 3rd rule to complete this milestone
