Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: Cannot switch between a project’s views with latest update.
Steps to reproduce: Select Home > select a project > select the top left down arrow next to Board = screen shows with Cancel and Save on the top, editable project name in center, and project views at bottom. Cancel and Save cannot be clicked. Cursor is stuck within editing the project name. All views are grayed out. Only device back button can exit the screen.
Hi @NC1 and thanks for getting back to us. Marie here a colleague of @Natalia, I’ll take over as I have an Android device to test it out!
I’m using a Pixel phone and I’m running the sam version of Android and Asana app than you. I’ve tried several projects and seem to have no problem to edit my project name or to change views. Cancel and Save buttons are working just fine too, so my guess is that this might be a project, account or device related issue. In order to pursue our investigations, can you:
Confirm if this is happening with multiple projects?
Can you try logging into your account from another phone and let me know if you’re running into the same problem?
Thanks for your help here, I look forward to your reply!
I’ve confirmed this effects all projects in my account.
I don’t have another phone to test this on but I did just create a new account and logged in with the same phone and noticed something interesting.
There is a huge discrepancy with the two accounts. Just to start, the bottom bar is different…
issue account shows: home / my tasks / inbox / search / account
new account shows: my tasks / inbox / projects / search
issue account shows: hitting the dropdown in a project shows a popup with what I described before (with the save/cancel buttons, etc)
new account shows: hitting the dropdown in a project shows a true dropdown with a list of the different views.
That is just a few of the differences, there are a LOT more.
We’re currently rolling out a visual refresh for our Android app, this update is being progressively rolled out at domains level, which explains why your app may look different depending on what space you’re looking at. Since this bug seem to be happening in the old version, we most likely won’t fix it and concentrate on completing the roll out of the new update (if it all goes well, we’re planning to roll it out to 100% of domain within 2 weeks).
Thank you so much for taking the time to report this issue, and for your patience over the next two weeks
I’m closing this bug out, but if there is anything else I can help with, please let me know!
