Advanced actions | Convert a subtask into a task

Hi,

is it possible to convert a subtask into a task?

Use case: sometimes a user realizes that a specific sub-task is critical and he/she wants to keep track of this subtask in a more easy/prominent way by converting this subtask into a task. Is it possible? If it’s not possible, is there an easy workaround?

Hi @Alessandro_Grassano :wave:t3:

The easiest solution I ca, think of is to drag and drop the subtask into the project task list, your subtask will automatically be converted into a task!

Hi @Marie, this actually doesn’t work for me. I click on a sub-task. When I drag it, I’m simply highlighting the tasks along the drag as if I’m multi-selecting the tasks along the way. I can’t move the sub-task to the task level. It’s like there is a protection on sub-tasks that prevents doing this. Any insights?

Hi @anon12986944, thanks for reaching out!

You need to hover over the task’s name, left click & hold the grid icon, then drag the subtask to the list. I’ve added a gif for more details:

I hope this helps!

Thanks! I got it to work using this method.
