Admin control of Notifications

Product Request: Ability to manage notifications globally via Admin console

We have recently deployed Asana in our workplace and as we are setting up projects and assigning tasks we are noticing a lot of email traffic for each individual coming from Asana. We have a mitigation in place in that we are currently asking each individual user to go into their notification settings to switch off emails as we are going to use the Teams integration for notifications, however, there should be the ability to control notifications across the board from an admin level to save individuals having to do this.

While individual settings are currently the preferred method for disabling specific notifications, as the owner of a project, you can also set preferences for status updates, messages, and added tasks (not assigned to that individual) by clicking on the project members next to the blue “Share” button in the upper right of the project and selecting “Manage notifications.”

This isn’t a catch-all, as I said, if something is specifically assigned to an individual, and their settings allow for it, they would still receive notifications, but hopefully it will help reduce some of that traffic.
