Adding new member to multiple teams at once.

Hi Asana community,

We are onboarding a new member and need to add them to 300+ teams. In the past, we have manually gone through all teams and added the new member individually. There must be a faster way to do this - can anyone help me?

This is something the API may be able to help with, so I’m hoping another Forum Leader with more experience on that side can weigh in.

That said, if a user truly needs to be added to 300+ teams, it may be worth taking a step back to review the overall structure. In many cases, that level of team membership can be reduced by relying more on project-level access or consolidating teams where it makes sense.

I agree, 300+ teams sounds a bit excessive and some consolidation would definitely help. Curious if these Teams are actually groups of people or used for grouping projects instead of portfolios? That is common for orgs on the Starter plan that don’t have Portfolios.
