Adding Assignees to Sub Tasks using csv import

Hi all,

Does anyone know how I can add Assignees and due dates to my SubTasks that I’m importing?

I’ve posted a screenshot to show you my layout. The main page in Asana looks good where my sections are named after weeks and the Task Names after companies. The sub tasks are actually planned to be the real tasks, just using the main task and section for a breakdown.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome, @Alex_Swales,

The Assignee column is used for both task and subtask assignee, but it must be in the form of an email address of a user.

Thanks,

Hi Larry, thanks for that, I’ll give that a go and see if I get any further

Worked straight away! Thanks again. Since I’ve got you here, the due dates arent being imported to the sub tasks either. Ive double checked the formatting and its now in the US yyyy/mm/dd format, but just imports a new field called “Due Date (imported)” Any idea how I can solve this?

Check again the help article I linked to:

  1. Due Date: use the standard US date format of month/day/year to track the due date of each task.

@Alex_Swales , before you import, click on Make changes and make sure to map your date column to the due date instead of a date-type field.
