add more variables in rule conditions: rule triggerer, task creator, member of team

I’d like to be able to use more people variables in rule conditions.

check if Rule Triggerer/Task Creator is:

  1. Specific individual
  2. Assignee
  3. a member of X team
  4. is one of
  5. is not one of

In this particular instance, I have a number of rules to set reporting-related custom fields based on when tasks are completed, and a few over-enthusiastic users who need to be able to approve subtasks and see/interact with parent tasks, but cannot seem to be taught not to click check boxes that do not belong to them. Since it isn’t currently possible to Assignee-lock task completion, or to correct inadvertent changes to a task’s completion date, being able to write the affected rules to run only if the rule triggerer is an appropriate party would be a good workaround.

I’m actually quite intrigued to know why Asana doesn’t have more triggers and actions. Some of them feel pretty simple, for example, “text field changed” or “description changed.” I’m not saying it’s easy to develop, but I’m saying based on everything else they have, it’s not a lot of heavy lifting.
