When setting up an intake form, I would like to designate that some fields are required to be filled out when the form is submitted by specific users.
For example, I have a task intake form that multiple teams in our org use. However, my team has a greater amount of ownership/stewardship over the tasks created using this form, therefore if they are the users of the form, specific fields should be required for them. But if members of other teams with lower ownership and expertise are using the form, they would not be required to fill out these specific fields.
Hi @Cody_Chase1 , if I’ve understood correctly, this is possible using form branching, available on the Advanced plan and above. Look for the branching icon on the right of your options within a single-select or multi-select question.
So you could have a question at some point in the form where the submitter could choose their ‘role’ or ‘team’ and based on their choice, you then unfold the relevant questions to them.

That seems to be one solution, but requires the user to self-select. We use this form often enough that adding another manual selection to the list of fields and questions is a notable increase in usage friction. What would be ideal is if asana recognized roles associated with the user and adjusted the requirements accordingly. Asana already auto-populates the form assignee/authorship based on the logged-in account so it feels like a natural extension of that status.
