Add ability to include Reporting charts into a project status report.

Looking through the charts that appear in the sidebar when creating status updates in projects now, begs the question; can we add populated charts from our Reporting Charts?

Would be a great function if we can add them from created report, or a workaround being, download the chart in reporting and attach in the status update.

I can’t seem to do either. Any other solutions here?

Please could there be a feature added where we can add custom dashboards from a project into a status update?
Some of our projects contain important KPI data, for example, # samples processed in a particular week.
It would be great for custom project dashboards to be added as an option for project status updates so we can share this data with managers, without them being a part of the project.

Hi there! We really need this feature. The status update really doesn’t provide us any functionality at this point if we can’t customize the information that it presents. We really need status updates by section or including our custom dashboard reports.

@Christina13 if a 3rd party add-on is an option, you might want to take a look at the Analytics & Reports by Screenful that allows compiling reports (including charts in addition to text), and scheduling them to be sent via email to the selected individuals.

Right now, there are a only a handful of reports or “highlights” I can add to my Status Updates.

However, I want to be able to add CUSTOM charts, similar to the ones I have in my reports/dashboards.

The ones provided are pretty limited and I can’t update the titles or filter to specific sections.

Agreed that this would be very valuable as an extension to the quite limited “highlights” that are currently present.

The more that these reports can leverage the features of Asana instead of relying on manual entry, the better!

I cant see how i can do this, but surely you must be able to create a custom highlight of data you can put in the status update report? Seems a little odd youd be stuck with a few generic pre made ones?

Custom fields in Portfolio highlights update

When creating a status update for a portfolio there is a list of optional highlights on the right that can be added to the status update. Is there a way to create highlights based on custom fields rather than the default standard highlights? My goal would be to create a status update based on a custom field we have created that identifies what “phase” our projects are in: i.e. Application, Preconstruction, Scheduled, Work Complete, Closed, etc. It would be great to be able to quickly produce a …

I just created all the custom stats that I need in the Dashboard and was absolutely flabbergasted that those are NOT available in the project Status Update.

What i think you are highlighting is this has been asked for years since 2021 and its not been listened to or picked up? I have to say the reporting in Asana for this type of tool is atrocious and never seems to get resolved or updated and if anyone says hey use a third party plugin then
