I open asana → project → list view. I have 10+ sections. The first section has 50 items, the second section has 150 items. The other sections have 20ish items or so. I collapse the first section and click the hidden-now-but-shown-on-hover “plus” button with the description “Add a task to this group”. Nothing happens. Well, in reality Asana adds an empty task on a position 140, while there are 150 items, and Asana doesn’t show any hints that it added an empty task. The only way to add a task to this gigantic section is to scroll down, find where the section ends, and click “Add task” which is annoyingly inconvenient.
I tried this and in my case it automatically expands the collapsed section and the blank task is the first in the section and clearly visible and addressable.

I just ask my colleague to reproduce the bug using his laptop, it doesn’t work for him either. Btw, I’m using Chrome and he uses Asana native app.
I recommend you contact Support as I mentioned above and pass along that info.
Thanks,
Larry
