Hello @Elyse_Endlich1, here is the relevant feedback request thread for advanced search:

I really like the new filter/sort/group options we have in projects.

Besides focusing on what is (over)due and due in the immediate future I’d also like to see tasks that do not have a due date. That is, because when I’ve finished what is overdue and due today and maybe due tomorrow, I think it’s good to tackle tasks that don’t have an urgency but are important.

To that effect I’d really like to see the option Due date not set added to the list of options.

Hey @Jan-Rienk , is this an existing similar request?

@Richard_Sather You’re right, missed this one. Thank you.

I’m looking for this feature as well please. I like to email to Asana which does not assign a due date. With so many tasks to sort through, I miss tasks with no due date. I’m currently using the group by feature which groups ā€œno date.ā€ Please add as no date as filter option.

Voted for this as well.

I remove dates from tasks that are assigned to me that I decide are no longer important. These are often nice to haves like ā€œautomate Xā€ or ā€œplay with new feature Yā€

I would love to create a saved List View in My Tasks set to filter for all tasks without a due date so I can sift through and decide what I want to add back to my task log.

Hey @FenwayJohnny , instead of a Filter you could perhaps use the Group button to group by Due date.

The last section at the bottom of the list should be ā€˜No due date’, listing all your tasks without due dates.

True! Thats a decent little workaround. Thanks!

the workaround is okay but would love this as a filter!

This does not help when I have My Tasks already filtered, sorted and grouped.
I would have to create two views of My Tasks just to find those without a Due Date.

Hi there,

I have the same issue. I use my ā€œMy Tasksā€ to view the tasks that are overdue and due in the upcoming week.

I need a section at the top that shows tasks that do not have a deadline - non-urgent tasks that I need to keep top of mind. As a workaround, I have given these tasks a past deadline so they will stay at the top of my inbox. The problem is that at my organization, we report on our overdue tasks each week, and this approach makes it look as if I have a lot of overdue tasks when, in reality, they are simply reminders or non-urgent tasks. I need to be able to differentiate them.

If I don’t give them a deadline, I would need to view ā€œall tasksā€ at once and go to the very bottom for tasks without deadlines which is not ideal at all. Or do an advance search, which again, is not useful for keeping them top of mind.

@Li_Amerongen,

I answered in your duplicate post here:

In the future, please only post once.

Thanks,

Larry

The workaround is not useful when you need to audit if a group of different people have missed to assign Due dates to tasks to several different people from the team. Only a filter would help to create a starred search to quickly adjust the issues.
