The only standard format is YYYY-MM-DD (ISO 8601).

If I copy-paste that format into Asana, it misinterprets it.

I really don’t understand how something as obvious as date format is not available to a product which is being marketed internationally.

Yes please. How on earth does it make sense to put the month first? If someone asks you the day today, you don’t say “January”.

Is the date format issue fixed or are we all still locked into the US date format

I hadn’t realised this was an issue until I moved a significant part of my customer management onto asana and it all fell apart!

My work around was to push the activity through Zapier and then use Zapier’s own formatter (Connect your Asana to Formatter by Zapier integration in 2 minutes | Zapier) to flip from our date format DD/MM/YYYY to the only one asana knows MM/DD/YYYY.

Hi, It’s now June 2019 that nearly 1 and a half years from the initial request. I would argue that this has moved beyond a simple request to “why are you ignoring your customers”?

+1 on date format please. I can’t see why ASANA can’t represent dates as per the regional settings. Most other web sites seem to be able to cope with this.

Another request for this please. American date format is infuriating and it does seem like Asana is just choosing to ignore this. Why?

I can’t believe this isn’t sorted. Checked my Date format for my computer and in Chrome but Asana is till in MM/DD/YYYY - I work in DD/MM/YYYY

I totally agree, how can a project management tool not allow you to change date format.

Surely this should be a priority!

I find it insanely arrogant to force people to use a date format majority of the globe doesnt use.
Such a basic feature it makes it feel like they are pushing an agenda.

What is the arrogance with forcing the significant majority of your customers to use American date format?

There’s several posts on this amd you don’t acknowledge. Its a simple, inclusive, request.

Please note date format is based on the region the browser is in, which is based on the OS settings. I recommend you double checking those settings.

I’ve also gone ahead and merged your post with the request to have this option in Asana instead of taking the region the browser is in :slight_smile:

There is nothing in my entire life that would ever see me using US setting in anything. Even English default keyboard is changed to Australian. Its not based on system settings in the slightest. Why would so many people complain about this?
