There’s some feedback posted here:

Checkmark task linked, when it completed

New updates don’t show a checkmark when the task link is complete My team and I usually copy all complete task links as progress information Please bring it back. thank you [Screen Shot 2020-04-23 at 21.25.01]

I like aspects of the update, but also voted for that request.
