Hyperlink task or subtask to an uploaded document or URL

One way I use Asana is to schedule blog posts and I have the task names be the title of the blog post. But there’s no way to to link that post to the article that needs to be drafted for publishing, so it would be great to link the task to a URL or file, instead of creating attachments which isn’t useful when many subtasks are used, one for each blog post.

Hi @anon42874272, thanks for reaching out and taking the time to share your feedback with us!

This is a great request, I’ll make sure to update this thread when I have more information about plans to launch a similar feature. In the meantime, I recommend you checking this article from our guide with tips for managing content calendar work.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

@anon42874272, Just want to make sure you are aware you can put that link in the task/subtask’s Description right? Paste a link there and it will be clickable. You can also use vanity links.

But I agree, and suggested a long time ago that links in task/subtitles titles could be clickable, perhaps in a similar fashion to how vanity links now work, and how Gmail has worked for links for years.

It’s not automatically clickable…

@anon63358638, What does your link look like (without revealing anything private)? Most become clickable automatically. If yours does not, it will become clickable if you precede it with http:// or https://.
