I second this motion.
Please implement via Admin Panel or via Sync from Entra ID.

Can this be reconsidered to be place on the roadmap? Asking users to add their own photos won’t be 100% effective and will lead to inconsistency with users putting personal photos or avatars instead of the company approved images.
As an admin, the expectation would be to have full control / access to our users & groups, including profile photos. Especially if a user uploads an explicit or problematic content. Then also being able to format photos and provide teams with profile photos created by our designers would be nice

Hey all! I don’t own this domain, but I empathize with the ask as someone who started their career as a designer. While I understand the case for wanting consistency, I’m more curious about the cases in which you need to overwrite or manage a user or group of users’ avatars. Can you all share any examples from your experience? Thank you!
Agree with Joshua, we sometimes have inappropriate avatars added and no ability to control this.
Welcome to the Forum @Erin_Kenworthy! Glad you’re here ![]()
@Emily_Roman this shows as answered - can we reopen?
Hey hey. We need this feature still. Here we are in 2026 without the ability to update the avatar from the Admin console.
@Andrew_Gay is this you?
agreed; chop chop Asana! ![]()
At the moment, there is no possibility for an admin to set a users profile picture in Asana.
There is no option either through:
- Admin Console
- SCIM
- API
We use Microsoft Entra ID SCIM User Provisioning, but it does not have to be through that way - Admin Console would be the most straightforward option and API would be nice-to-have.
The problem if we do not implement this is:
- Users are missing profile pictures
- Users use NSFW/semi-professional pictures, such as their favorite pet or soccer club. Good for them, but it diminishes the professional nature Asana is being used for.
Overall, I feel like this would be a “quick win” for Asana, giving Asana an even more professional look while not having to hassle users into supplying their own profile picture, which is more administrative effort for the Asana Admin than just setting the property themselves in the Admin Console…
I wish you could as well and I am wondering if this isn’t a philosophical reason preventing them from doing so…
