Who can see/use the workload functionality in a portfolio?

I have a portfolio with ~16 projects and I’d like to use the ‘workload’ functionality to enable ~8 managers from a number of teams to get a view of the work their team members are doing. Would someone please be able to help advise me on a few questions? I’d greatly appreciate it.

  1. If I make each manager a member of the portfolio, will they be able to see/use the workload functionality to drill into what their team members are doing?
  2. Do I also have to make each manager a member of some/all the projects that make up this portfolio?

Yes, they’d need access to the portfolio, and to any projects as well containing tasks the manager is interested in.
