Week numbers in all calendars

Another request to make week numbers visible

Please add week numbers!!!

Week numbers would be incredibly helpful.

Any update on the week numbers? Retailers most planning happens on a weekly basis for my company.

Any update on this? Would be a welcoming feature for little effort from the coding-team.

Thanks!

Hi @Frederik_Riel , no updates for Calendar view but there is currently an ongoing A/B test for Gantt and Timeline views, which you may be part of:

Does this feature has to be activated if I am part of this feature test?
Or later when the feature is implemented, do I have to set it up in the settings?

Hi @AlexUCR , welcome to the forum

If you can’t see it in your Asana space, then I’m guessing that the A/B test is still running so this feature is not fully rolled out yet. Hopefully soon!

Hi,
that’s my question though.
Will the CW just show up or is it a setting that has to be activated?

@AlexUCR , it will simply show up, if of course the A/B test is successful

Really looking forward to this. Any news? Seems like a very thorough test to me ; )

+1 from me, would really like to have week numbers in especially calendar view, but also timeline/gantt. Are there any updates on this?

Weeknumbers would be very helpfull, thank you!

It is extremely frustrating that after eight years and hundreds of customer requests, there is still no option to display calendar week numbers (KW) in the calendar view. This feature is essential for businesses across Western Europe, where week numbers are a standard part of scheduling. The lack of this functionality causes daily inconvenience for teams relying on Asana for planning.

A request for this feature has been open since November 2017, yet there has been no update or indication that it is being worked on. This should be a basic and easy-to-implement feature—why has it been ignored for so long?

We need a clear response from Asana:

  • Is this feature being developed or not?
  • If it is, what is the timeline for release?
  • If not, why is a widely requested improvement continuously disregarded?

Ignoring user feedback like this is deeply disappointing, especially for paying customers who rely on Asana for efficiency. These forums exist for customer input—when will it actually be taken seriously?

I have attached a screenshot to show exactly what is needed—this is not a major redesign, just a simple addition that would make a significant difference.

Looking forward to a real update on this.

To @Anano_Reisner and all the other frustrated users, I created a Chrome extension that adds calendar weeks to Asana.
It might not always work perfectly, but it does help me in my type of use.

You might want to try it out.
Hopefully Asana will just get it together and implement something natively themselves someday…

Wow, that is already super helpful. We will try this. Thank you very much for the much awaited response. :folded_hands::cherry_blossom:

Hello Asana Community,

I would like to submit a feature request for displaying week numbers in Asana’s calendar views (both in project calendars and in the My Tasks calendar).

Many teams — including mine — rely heavily on week numbers for planning, reporting, and structuring sprints. Currently, we need to add these manually or use external tools to determine which week a task or project falls into. Having week numbers visible directly in Asana would:

  • Make planning clearer and more consistent

  • Improve cross‑team alignment

  • Reduce manual work and potential mistakes

  • Better support common work methods used across Europe and many other regions

It would be great if week numbers could be shown optionally in the calendar, for example as small labels at the start of each week row or column in the month and week views.

Are there other users who would benefit from this as well?
And does anyone know if this is already on Asana’s roadmap?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and support! :raising_hands:
