I’m trying to upload a video using Vimeo, which is the default on the account. The option is gone. Does anyone know the reason?
@Ethan26 - Sorry mate, Asana deprecated the Vimeo integration on April 15th.
Whyyyy?! It was such an important feature for our knowledge management. (
Vote this up if that’s true for your organization, too.)
Are there any alternative integrations which provide the same (screen recording directly from the ticket)?
Does anybody know why it was deprecated? Did the partnership mit Vimeo come to an end?
I agree, now I am second guessing keeping Asana.
We can still do screen record and upload it.
Welcome to the forum @Ethan26 !
Quick note for everyone. You can embed Loom videos into most Asana objects, like tasks and notes, just by pasting them.
To ensure that the link is embedded, click the plus sign and select Embed link and paste it. This might work for Vimeo, too. Try it out!
Yeah, I currently just embed Loom links. Way cheaper than Vimeo as well.
We had so many tutorials in our templates and training guides. Its not really accessible now. Now you have to click to log into vimeo to see it. So lots of work lost that was easily accessible before.
This was a huge feature for us, I dont know what I am going to do. Is there going to be a different video integration? I mean, Asana says it themselves in the Vimeo page, having the ability to create video instructions leads to less errors in work, less time spent passing the task on and so on. This is ridiculous. Moving backwards, not forward!
