Using Variable "Custom Field " when posting a comment via a rule

Important note: To help us resolve your issue as quickly as possible, please ensure to fill out all the sections below. Do not share any private information such as email addresses or phone numbers - This is a public Forum!

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the bug you’re experiencing:
When I am creating a rule to post a comment, I want to add a variable item - the selection of a single select custom field. When I select the variables I want, it is showing in the comment box the incorrect name of the custom field that I want. However, in the preview pane, it shows the correct one. Once I refresh the rule, this corrects itself, but it is confusing when first creating the rule.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a rule
  2. Action → Post a comment
  3. Add any custom field variable to be posted in the comment
  4. See what the preview shows vs. the comment box shows

Hi @Kelsea_Lopez, thanks again for your report! Our Developers have deployed a fix for this issue with variables. I can see on my end that the names are populating correctly now! Let me know if that’s not the case for you
