Use a templated task when creating a follow up task

I am trying to find a way to use a templated task instead of a blank task when creating a follow up task. Is this possible.

Hi,

This is not possible. You best chance is to copy the link of the original task, and go create a task from a template and paste the link in the description…

Hi @Gerald_Thomas, thanks for reaching out to our Community!

I’ve gone ahead and moved your post to the #productfeedback category as I think this would be a great addition to Asana!

I’ll keep you posted if I have any updates!

Agree this would be really nice if that is possible. Voted

I think this would help me, too?!

Unless anyone here knows another way to …
Complete one task in a board (Board 1).
Trigger creation of a second task in another board (Board #2).
Ensure new task uses a template associate with Board #2’s process.

Hey @staci welcome to the community forum

I think this might be worth upvoting: [Rules] Option to create a follow up task when a task is complete

I mean you can trigger the creation of subtasks at the moment but I think for what you are trying to achieve you‘d probably have to work with tools such as Zapier to achieve this.

Also experiencing the same issue. Task templates are so limited and having to add them to every project is killing their utility for us.

That’s why Bundles were introduced
