Updates or new options to reset my timer when x happens?

Good morning, I wanted to check if over the last 6 months have been any updates or new options to reset my timer when x happens. See my old question here: Subject: Automating Feedback Reminders – Looking for Tips to Refine My Workflow - #17 by Annelies_B

@Annelies_B I am not sure about the updates. Just curious if you have considered creating a subtask for the task creator to review with a due date? Then you can set a rule that adds a comment at whatever intervals you would like based on the due date. This makes sure that the task shows up in the Task Creator’s My tasks. Just a thought on a different approach.

Hi Ron, yes I got this in place already too. I currently have:

  • If task is placed in feedback section:
      1. set timer to 3 days. If expired, comment.
      2. Create sub task for task creator to provide feedback,.
      3. Set inactivity timer to 3 weeks
  • If taks is in feedback and inactity timer expirs (and we’re still waiting on feedback) > move ticket to on hold to keep our to do list clean.

Sometimes I get incomplete requests that I place in “need more info” section. I’d like to use one of the timers to remind the task creator to provide input after x time, but i don’t want to create a third timer. That’s why I was wondering if there had been an update that allows me to reset timers. :frowning:

@Annelies_B Thanks for the clarification. My suggestion is to base the comment off of the Due Date field instead of the timer field. This way, you don’t need the timer fields at all unless you want to track overall response time. The comment will be added to the subtask that is assigned directly to the person needing to provide the feedback.

Hope this makes sense.

And, I don’t think there have been any updates.
