My team really appreciates the “Add Feedback” option when we’re working on marketing collateral. One sticking point for us is that when you create a subtask through the Add Feedback feature, there is nowhere to add a due date.
The workaround I’ve found is that you can click on the feedback again on the collateral and this will open a fuller subtask with a due date, but I’d love it if the due date could be part of the initial pop-up.
Or, better yet, has anyone created a rule to add a due date automatically to only these tasks? I don’t want to add due dates automatically in a project, but I’d love to figure out a rule that only adds automatic due dates to subtasks created as part of the Add Feedback feature.
Hi @Fatemeh_Fakhraie, You’re not missing anything here. In that first Add feedback pop-up, there isn’t a due date field right now. You need to open the subtask fully to set it, just like you found.
On the rules side, there isn’t a native trigger or condition that targets “subtasks created from Add feedback” specifically, so you can’t auto-date only those and ignore other subtasks. Two workarounds I’ve seen teams use:
Create a dedicated “Feedback” project and add a rule there to set due dates. Then use a second rule in your main project to route feedback subtasks into that project. This only works well if that project is used just for proofing items.
If your team follows a naming convention when leaving feedback, you can add a rule with a “task name contains …” condition to reduce false positives. Not perfect, but it helps.
