My team uses a custom field to track vendors on our projects. Recently, we created a Master Vendor Sheet that links to a live list of tasks associated with each vendor. It has become an incredibly valuable resource because it allows us to quickly see when a vendor was last used and what projects they supported.
The challenge we’re running into is that our Vendor field is currently a single-select field. While that worked well initially, many of our projects involve multiple vendors. As a result, when we generate these vendor-specific task lists, some vendor activity is missed because only one vendor can be selected per task.
I would love the ability to convert an existing single-select custom field into a multi-select custom field without having to recreate the field and manually update historical data. This would make vendor tracking significantly more accurate and useful.
As a separate piece of feedback, I would also love additional sorting options for live task lists. Specifically, when sorting by due date, I would like the ability to sort in ascending order (newest/upcoming first) rather than having the oldest tasks appear at the top by default.
