We’ve just gone through the exercise of capturing automated workflows in Asana, but I have no visibility into whether our employees are meeting the timeframes outlined in the workflows or not. Example: Once Jack completes his task to initiate the workflow, Mary is assigned her portion. Our workflow says Mary has 3 days to complete her task before it goes to Zach. How do I set up a process that shows me if Mary is over her allotted 3 days? Or how long Mary is usually taking to complete her task? Can I set up workflows with timeframe parameters with a notification or reporting function?
There are a few questions asked here that are really dependent upon your workflow, and I don’t think there is a very straightforward answer to your question without understanding more about your workflow. What I can address is this:
You can report on the amount of time time tasks spend in specific sections, if Mary’s tasks live within a certain section you can report on the amount of time her tasks spend active.
I hope this helps some.

How can you find that report for how long a task is active?
You can do this by creating a widget in your dashboard that displays this information. Here is a sample.
Please note: this does intentionally say “Years” on the y-axis, as I used a demo project that is a few years old to create this sample.
