Hi Asana Community!

Back in December, we introduced Asana AI connectors as the bridge between your big ideas and the work that brings them to life: connecting Asana with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Le Chat, Quick Suite, and more.

Today, we’re excited to share that the Asana app in Claude is now available!

The Asana app in Claude brings Asana’s Work Graph and UI directly into Claude so teams can turn AI chats into actionable work in Asana. From a single Claude conversation, you can get updates on portfolios, create new projects, create tasks, and assign employees and due dates.

What can you do with the Asana app in Claude?

You can take actions in Asana directly from Claude. The images below highlight the Asana app in Claude experience.

Use it for things like:

• “Help me make a project to track requests on my brand creative team.”

• “What is the status of our global initiatives? Call out any risks or blockers.”

• “Show me all high-priority intake requests in Asana"

I am loving Claude

I love the interactivity in the new v2 MCP… sometimes.

It’s great to see the created task or project right in Claude and make changes. In some cases.

But in other cases, I had workflows set up where I could give Claude information, walk away, and have tasks completed in Asana unsupervised: Mark a prior subtask complete, create a task with draft content, etc…

It seems that Claude has now lost the ability to creates tasks in Asana without approval, it can only preview tasks first?

Is that right? If not, what am I missing? If so, can I get the old connector back?
