If I can help escalate this feedback, or add my name in the voting hat, I’m happy to. I fully second @Gus_Guadagnini’s suggestion for customization as I feel that’s how you can best tailor Asana to benefit many different workflows.
I appreciate the context behind Asana’s purpose for this collaborator feature, but I’ve also gotten a few complaints from colleagues regarding the sheer amount of notifications they received because I wanted their early input on a task and mentioned them in a comment once.
As stated, if this feature helps enhance communications for some, that’s awesome and clearly the point of this feature. But if organizations feel they have a better handle on communication, or prefer a slightly different process, then being able to customize doesn’t feel like a big ask.
I really like Asana, and believe it is really powerful. But I have to agree the inability to customize this feature feels like an oversight.
