I’m looking for a way to move a task to a specific section in a project if it’s been just blocked by another task. The exact opposite of the “Task no longer blocked” trigger - Image 2022-07-08 at 2.31.05 PM. I’ve looked into the possible triggers on Asana and Flowsana, but can’t find a way to achieve it.
Does anyone know how to do that? Is it even possible?
@Georgi_Georgiev1 Welcome to the community!
I can see some use cases for this and would also like this trigger in rules.
Unfortunately, I do not know of a way to do this. I suggest creating a feature request in Product Feedback
Like @Paul_Grobler said, I don’t think there is a way to do this either. I use a custom field to do this (open/blocked), when a task is blocked update the field to blocked, using that field to trigger any “blocked” rules.
For what it’s worth, I found a work around. It requires using the “Check if task is no longer blocked” function, but backwards.
If the task is checked and found to no longer be blocked, then a custom field I’ve titled “Blocked?” is cleared.
If the task isn’t no longer blocked, then “Blocked?” is filled in as Blocked and the task/subtask is moved to the Blocked section.
Screenshot attached. It has to be run individually on each task/subtask, but it’s better than clicking all the way in to see if the task/subtask is blocked or not.
