Task Comment as a Progress Status Update?

Hi everyone,

I’ve a quick question here: is it possible to push a Task Comment as a Progress Status Update?

We’re trying to minimize access for the Project Manager to the Progress tab so we’d like them to update their Projects using a task. We know that extracting the Task Description is doable with the API, but is it possible to extract/copy a Task Comment and paste it as a Progress Status Update?

Sure, that’s definitely possible!

You can retrieve the comments on a task via this endpoint:

(Obviously you’ll need some way to know which one(s) you want to add as status updates.)

Then once you grab the story text, you can add it as a new project status update via this endpoint:
