Users should be able to add, edit and manipulate tasks and sections in the one viewing window within the mobile app. Just like it works in the PC web browser. The current method is jaring and honestly the main reason my current and previous organisations no longer use Asana.
- I would luke to be able to just tap add at the bottom of each section and insert tasks.
- I would like to be able to tap to edit or insert text(standard virtual keyboard function) in the section or task without opening a window or popup window.
The whole thing that makes Asana superior to other applications is the ability to manipulate the lists and tiles without opening windows. On a PC I can establish a project plan 2-53x faster than in other applications. The current process of addind tasks is as follows. Press Plus, typing the tak name, opening the section drop down menu (or forgetting to at all) selecting the section, then saving. Returning, finding you forgot to add some tasks to sections(because you are bouncing all over the place), recalling what section they belonged to, clicking, scrolling and then inserting those tasks into each section. This process is labour intensive and confusing to say the least.
All the efficiency gain from the PC browser/app is redundant as I cannot work with my staff via the mobile app to update and maintain the individual tasks. All my staff complain that the app is clunky and that they have poor visability and control.
