Subtasks adding on top of parent task estimates, makes no sense?

I’d love the opportunity to cap estimates for subtasks to not exceed the parent task’s estimate.

Also, the estimates for subtasks should not be added on top of the parent task. This makes no sense?

So annoying, whats the point of having a task with a estimate if one can create subtasks to override the orignal estimat´?!!?

Agree - I spend a lot of time reminding my team to only put points on either the parent or the subtask, otherwise it doubles up the estimates of the task.

Jira does this correctly (auto sums up in parent from subtasks) so not sure why Asana can’t do it…
