I’m a bit new to Asana and I’m unclear on step #2. Where would I place the comment in the project? On a single task?
YEP! Would love a way to push status updates to project slack channels. I’ve set up a rule from sub-tasks but obviously it takes the user from Slack to the subtask “Status Update Feb 7” instead of the status update itself. Best thing I can think is to ask my PM to copy and paste her status update into the status update subtask as well but we’re really trying to increase awareness and adoption Asana and of the status update feature, so it would be best to have people go directly from the project Slack channel to the status update. Any one come up with any other solutions?

I haven’t seen an update on this forum in some time - wanted to see if this feature is available yet, as our team is looking for a way to push status updates to a Slack channel (automatically, if possible). This would really help with encouraging adoption of Asana as a PM tool.

Strongly agree on everything that has been voiced here for this feature.
I work with multiple projects on daily basis and we use the status update function every week to highlight and summarise what has happened in the project and what will happen in the current week.
Currently I need to copy paste that status update manually to each project’s slack channel which is definitely not ideal. Automating this is crucial and would save bunch of time each week.
For example:
Status Update created → Send message to a specificed Slack channel
Status Update edited → Send message to a specified Slack channel
