Nope any news. I recently left iphone, I’m now in Android for that reason and many others.
This feature is very important for my workgroup since we work in the construction field and need the sound alerts when tasks are assigned. I’ve keeping an eye on that feature. We all use iOS . Under iOS 12 I could find how to enable that feature in notifications center (through toggling a button) , however it never worked . I mean, even though it is set to make a sound , I never heard it when an assigned task or a change in a. followed task ever happened. Any ideas?
I am also missing this, can it be so hard to make sound notifications work? Other apps also have this working ^^
Has this been resolved yet? My staff need audible notifications for new Asana tasks and updates/changes to tasks.
This thread started in July 2017! We’re in the last days of 2019 now! WHEN will this simple update be available!?

Or reboot your phone.
If it is still not working, try to use an iOS fixing tool.

I’m also a LONG time fan of asana, but I am dying inside each day because there is still no audible alarm on my iphone for asana 
I have shopped for and tried and even PAID FOR other apps because of this ONE SINGLE ISSUE, but none of them compare to asana. I love asana, but this one issue is just a huge “womp womp”. I would be willing to PAY for this option! so disappointing. Hoping someone will see this comment and let me know that it’s been fixed since the last comment in 2021… still holding onto some sprinkle of hope.
I’ve just started using Asana and love it, but like most here, can’t believe there is no sound with iOS notifications. Would be great to hear when that upgrade is coming. Without it, time-sensitive notification is non-functional. The whole point is that you’re not thinking of a task and therefore not looking at your phone. The sound/haptic is what makes you pay attention and realized you have a time-sensitive task due.

Come on, Asana folks. This can’t be so hard as all that? As more companies replace e-mailing with Asana, the barest minimum should be the possibility to have some kind of little ding ding when a task is added to a project. “Buy an Android” is not a workaround.
Agreed, I am about ready to switch back to Apple Reminders.
