You can use Bridge24 for Asana. The left panel displays projects alphabetically. You can also generate charts and reports for your tasks.

I want to sort projects alphabetically because it is just simply natural, and both me and my team will be able to locate jobs faster, easier, and more intuitively.
We’re new to Asana and I’ve been trying to figure out how to sort projects. I’m so discouraged to see that people have been asking for (what seems to be) a pretty simple thing for years and have not gotten any traction with the Asana team. New features are nice but don’t really help if they’re launched and then never polished.
Adding here just to be one more voice pushing for quality of features over quantity of features.
Agreed. Our team is asking for the option to sort projects alphabetically. Not having the option to manage the order of projects makes it difficult and time consuming to find the project needed when assigned as a member of multiple projects. Please add this feature.
Because of this I’m done with Asana.
Is a VERY basic feature.
That’s a shame but its true that the Asana development team seems to spend a lot more time dreaming up new features and not fully implementing them, than sorting out some basic issues like this, which would take some bright coder 5 minutes to do.

We haven’t yet prioritise this request, but we will continue considering in the future. I’ll post an update here as soon as I have one!
Our organization is exploring Asana and this is a key factor for whether or not we’ll adopt Asana. Fingers crossed it’s added.
Almost three years and this simple feature still has not been added yet… It’s understandable that it’s not top priority, but for something that should be so common and expected shouldn’t even be an after thought. A lot of people use a numbering system to keep track of projects and it is now more time consuming finding project especially as more and more get added. Hard to keep track of projects when I’m constantly having to search for them.
I found no use for the “Home” page until I discovered that you can search at the top for anything including a Project and jump immediately to the Project from the drop-down search results. Probably much faster than scrolling down an alphabetized list of Projects anyway. I don’t like typing but the world (aka Google, Microsoft etc.) is going search crazy and for good reason - our lists are getting loonger and looonger every day.
…same is true in the Team page.
+1 to this idea, This should be an high priority, surely an option to sort alphabetically is an easy update win.
We have 50 projects in one of ours teams (levels for a game) having everything in a jumble is annoying… a waste of time organising by hand when it can be done with a click of a button!

I find this a bit absurd that we can’t sort projects. This is a very basic and much needed feature. Unfortunately, I can’t keep using Asana without a feature like this.
What is the point behind this?
Ability to sort project alphabetically is A MUST !!! Very simple fix too. Seem like so many others are asking for it (for over 2 years now). Please release this feature asap. Thank You.
