When I am in a project, the context of the team the project is in gives me a quick understanding of the type of work in the project. We often have the same project name used in different teams.
Please show team name:
– Under the project name in list view. See screenshot.
– in full screen task view.
You present team name in search results for similar reasons. See second screenshot.
Hi @Angie_Canon and thanks for the feedback! As it stands I would recommend using the “i” button right next to the project drop-down menu for quicker access to this info. We don’t have plans to add the team’s name under the project name, but if this is something we decide to do in the future, I’ll make sure to keep you posted here!
Hi,
I’m aware this is a few months old topic, but it’s exactly what I wanted to suggest to Asana
I wish I could have the team name next to the project as well, and not just on the project page, but also in the task details next to the project name. This is because, as Angie wrote, having same projects name for different teams can be confusing.
Imagine I have a project called “SEO” for 3 different clients, each of them managed as separate teams in Asana. When I see the list of tasks in my tasks, I don’t know what client the task in the SEO project refers to…
Anyway, Angie, I’ve solved this issue: to each project, I add to the name of the project the name of the team “Project X [Team A]”
Not ideal, as it’s a manual job (so, prone to oversights), and it might make the project name a bit too long in some cases, but it works.
