Goal templates have a lot of potential for saving clicks and time for our teams, and the ability to set the default Progress Source within a goal template would be awesome. That is, the setting that indicates how a goal’s progress is updated: via sub-goals, projects, tasks, or manual. Our standard practice is for all Objectives to be set to update via sub-goals, and for all Key Results to be updated manually.
The default Progress Source for every new goal is “sub-goals.” So, when our team leads are publishing their OKRs into Asana, one repetitive task we have to do is go into every Key Result after they’re created, open the progress settings, and switch it from “sub-goals” to “manual.”
Could we get an update so that we can specify a different Progress Source for each goal template? This would save any given team lead 40+ repetitive clicks at each quarterly OKR reset.
